Our Speciality
At the studio we specialize in small group (5:1) and private (1:1) personalized Pilates training, dedicated to providing the utmost attention and service so you can successfully reach your health and fitness goals.
In every session we apply kinesiology, which is a modern scientific understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and neuroscience of human movement and function. We use the proven classical Pilates method to change the way your body moves and functions, helping every aspect of your life.
Small Group Classes
Classical Pilates is a system. A beautifully connected method where each exercise builds upon the next. The creator, Joseph Pilates, developed Pilates with the purpose to create an uniformly developed body. Creating strength and balance in the body so that it works effectively and efficiently. Pilates is a method of corrective exercise: correcting joint strength and mobility, fixing muscles imbalances, and building a solid foundational core.
Joseph created many pieces of equipment to practice his method on. The three main ones are: Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, and Chair.
At Pilates Life Studio we respect the entire Pilates method so we provide our clients with the opportunity to workout on all pieces of equipment (called apparatus) so they can feel the beneficial effects of the entire system.
Intro Series
There is a slight learning curve when starting Pilates for the first time. In our small group classes there is a flow so that all clients receive a good workout. To maintain the appropriate pace we ask new clients to participate in the 5-week Intro Series before attending regular Group Apparatus classes. The Intro Series classes provide extra time so new clients can figure out how to use the equipment while learning the foundational exercises and are designed for curious newcomers who want to experience Pilates Apparatus in a non-intimating and low pressure environment.
Complete this 5-week series to gain strength, coordination, and knowledge of intro and level 1 Pilates exercises to participate successfully in regular classes here. At week 4 and 5 we introduce level 2 exercises for a dash of fun!
Every week you workout on a different piece of equipment:
1st class: Reformer (level 1)
2nd class: Barrel and Tower (level 1)
3rd class: Chair (level 1 and 2)
4th class: Reformer (adding level 2 exercises)
5th class: Tower (adding level 2 exercises)
After this series, if you feel like Pilates on the equipment is your new love (and we are fairly certain it will be!), you are welcome to sign up for one of our memberships or more drop in passes to participate in regular classes here at Pilates Life Studio.
We guarantee each class is lead by an in-person Pilates instructor that is certified with at least 500-hrs comprehensive Pilates teacher training (comprehensive means trained on all apparatus: reformer, tower, chair, and barrels). With only five people in each class receive valuable feedback and guidance to feel successful during your Pilates beginnings!
Next Intro Series: not scheduled at this time. Please sign up for our Discovery Package below.
We look forward to meeting you and helping guide you to realize your health and fitness goals!

New Client Private Offers
Another option is to attend three privates. These sessions are the best way to start and get pointed in the right direction. Receive full attention from Amy or Gwyneth who will guide you through all the foundational Pilates exercises on the apparatus (reformer, tower, chair, barrels). We troubleshoot any adjustments that may be needed to suit your body and ability. After your three private sessions you are welcome to continue with more privates or join small group classes here at the studio. This is the best investment you can do for your body! Pilates = healthy, strong, resilient, energetic bodies.
We offer regular privates: Mondays 10:25am, Mondays 11:30am, Tuesdays 9:20am, Tuesdays 4:15pm, Fridays 6:25pm. Please inquire with Amy if needing different days and times.
“You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.’“
